After a bit of coaxing, Annabelle finally feel asleep - about 1 hour after her usual bedtime at the baby house...not bad at all. I was quite touched...she falls asleep with the doll that we had given her on our first visit. I just layed down beside her and she beamed. I let her play knowing that she would finally tire herself out...so, at least she fell asleep happy. Sweet dreams little one!!!
I have to echo Sven's comments. I was a little afraid, not really knowing how our first evening would go...especially since we got her so late. She was so happy to see us... I knew it would be ok.
She was happy as a clam to explore the apt and to eat and eat and eat. She was really comfortable with all of us. Giggled so much during our first diaper change that I felt she had been with us all along!!!
Dr. Rhimma gave us the grand tour of the baby house and we were really impressed with the facilities. They are doing good work there. Of more special meaning to us, was seeying the little girl that we had to leave behind this summer. She has remained in our thoughts and hearts and I couldn't shake it. She is still the fighter! She is in the medical wing of the baby house awaiting surgery. We were told that she is indeed on the list for heart surgery and that the surgery is free. It is just a matter of time. It was the perfect ending to our time at the baby house.

Congrats! What a big day for your family. I love looking at the pictures, pure joy on all of your faces. Reading your blog has brought back so many memories of our trip last spring. I know you were not sad to say goodbye to the "pink room". There is only so much you can do in there! Here's to hoping that your paperwork flies through the channels! We had court on April 12 and I landed in the US on May 14. Hopefully your timeline will be close. Enjoy your beautiful daughter!!!

WOW, This is bt far the best post yet!!! You once again made me cry!! What a beautiful family, thge pictures look like you all have been together forever! CONGRATS to all four of you! It will be wonderful to have another Kaz cutie in NB. TWO girls-TWO BOYS! Oh and did I tell you our Dastan is quite a ladies man!!Keep a eye on your daughter!
